Yup, pretty normal.  Walk around, concentrate on the fluids for the first week, and thank god you don't have a bill for $60,000 to pay.

It's tough, and I didn't have any complications. I have been sleeping a lot and taking it easy. My biggest issue is piercing headaches right now. Please take it easy and it will get better! Hugs to you.

You can take Tylenol.  325 mg tabs go down easy w/o crushing for most people.

Thanks, that is a good tip!  I have been taking Tylenol (trying to avoid Percoset as I dont' really have any pain at the surgery site).  Unfortunately i wasn't being diligent enough with dosing it at the right time, because taking them crushed tastes so, SO bad.  Good to know that I could probably get away with just splitting them and swallowing instead of crushing!

If it's smaller than an M&M (chocolate) then you don't need to split.  FYI.  You can try anyway.  The 325's are small.

Big hug!!  This is completely normal and it takes a bit of time to feel great again.  Use your meds when you need them to control any pain you have, walk as much as you can and keep sipping.  I felt better once I was home, although I was tired a lot.  The walking and sipping will help the gas pain so try to move around as much as you are comfortable with.

You can do this!

Relax and stop thinking. Not a good idea at this point. Walk-walk-walk-sip-sip-sip, remember? don't think! Your chemical and hormonal balance won't let you to think clearly right now. One day at a time, one little step.
Congrats on your surgery!

(Rough start? how about five days in ICU? no biggie as far as I remember, lol.) You're doing just fine. get some rest,
