Impatience

Its been a month since my appointment with the dietician now just waiting for the preop nutrition class to call me then its the surgeon,,, I'm getting impatience,, how long has people waited between visit in OTTAWA

Congrats!

I waited three months between my last dietician appointment and the pre surgery class.
I then waited two months to see the surgeon and then another month for surgery.

see my timeline below....I'm waiting for my endoscopy ...

I was 4 months between nutritionist/behaviourist/internist appointment in July 2011 and the education class/meet the surgeon in early November 2011.  Surgery was December 12, 2011.

Good luck.  Patiece is good.  Sometimes we need to learn that lesson :)  This journey can help with the lesson.

Patience is a virtue, but also don't be afraid to call your clinic to check for cancellations and opportunity.

I had all my appointments done in may. Then NUT wanted to see me again in 4 weeks that turned out to be July
Didn't get surgery class till late August, meet the surgeon was early September originally, then cancelled to mid-September. Got the call for surgery shortly after.
Surgery is on October 22

Sorry to say but there is no rhyme nor reason as to how Ottawa does things. You get the call when it comes. You will notice that some people had orientation months after you and get their date before you. You just have to keep telling yourself that your time will come when it does and not stress because there is nothing you can do to speed things up.
I know its tough but that's the way it is. You are in the system and now its just a matter of time, you'll get there. :-)
