GOT MY DATE!!!!!

Seen the surgeon today for a whole 10 minutes (maybe!) Left the office and got my date. February 26th, 2013. The first day of my new life. Now the secretary said I could get an earlier date if I wanted to go with another surgeon. December 21, 2012. But I decided that I wanted to stay with the one that I have met twice and heard good things about. And even better news yet, only 2 weeks of Opti-fast. I was quite sure that I would have to do 3 weeks with being over 280 lbs, but he said only 2!! YAHOO!! Now, just a quick question for those that have gone through this already, what flavours of sugar free syrups did you use for the Opti shakes?? The secretary said I have no choice on chocolate or vanilla, get half and half. Thanks!

I preferred the chocolate hands down. I did add Crystal Ligh****er mix to the vanilla, or the Starbuck Hazel nut. I got 2 others at HomeSense that were not very flavourful.

Hi,

Congrats on getting your surgery date. You have time to finalize the holidays and start Optifast just before Valentine's Day. A great love affair with Optifast.

I did three weeks of chocolate Optifast. In Ottawa we get a choice of which flavours we want. I didn`t add any SF syrups to Opti. I did use decaf coffee though. Loved it. I tried peppermint extract....too strong a flavour for me.

Have fun experimenting with what works for you.
