I didn't think I could....
I'm currently on day 16 of Opti and its going pretty well. No major issues and I've been really impressed with myself for sticking to this. I'm normally the person who will try to bend the rule as far as it can go without breaking it. (Kinda of like the girl who takes a step off the base too early in softball...lol) Maybe through this whole process I've finally learned you can't do that this time. This is a huge deal and something I've wanted for a long time. And the only person I would be cheating is myself.
Well, two weeks ago (day 5 of opti) was the first Christmas party. I know that it would be full of temptation so I had my shake then volunteered to hand out the pizza to the kids. Passing out 12 party size pizzas really made me not want it! Lol first party check!
Yesterday was another dinner at the Mandarin. It was one of my favorite places. I said if I had to pay for my "seat" I would have my veggies and munch on that while drinking water. Once I explained to the servers that I was assisting people and not eating she said that is fine. I can remember going there and eating 3, 4 or even 5 plates of food. I kept busy by helping and totally don't ever want to go there again lol ( other than the total waste of money post-op!) lol I'm so glad I was able to show myself how much self control I truly have. If I was able to do that pre-op then I know I can totally do this post-op!!!! I hope that Monday comes fast so I can get started. Thanks for listening!! I know a lot of you can understand where I'm coming from.
