Home!
home and resting comfortably... trying to stay hydrated but have absolutely no interested in anything other than water. I'm in much more pain than I expected to be from a lap surgery but Dr figures it has a lot to do with having 2 open abdominal surgeries in 2011. All in all the experience at TWH was pretty good, had a really big private room. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to get out for a stroll around the floor with Robin as I was in too much pain until earlier today when they switched me to percocets and by then it was just about time to go home.
Kerri... The person to talk to about lapband is Tracey 112205
She is lovely and a wealth of information.
Lap can also be referring to Laparoscopic surgery which would be what Bev means in this case.
On top of that... I would encourage you to seek out more info. There are a number of band specific support groups where you will find yourself willingly included and if you are ever planning to be east of Toronto for ANY reason... There is an all inclusive and very wonderful group of people that while they may not have bands... Or a VSG like me... they are incredibly supportive of any choices people make so feel free to PM me.
I'd also like your permission to add you to the Ontario Surgery List.

Welcome to the bench hun... *gentle hugs*
Honestly I was a tad surprised by my own pain on day one (it was a lack of management I think)... I've had open and laparoscopic surgeries before... But once the pain management was there I found it was much better! I hope the same is going to happen for you.

So glad that you are home. I wish I knew before hand that you have two open abdominal surgeries than I could have warn you about the the pain. In the past I had 2 so this surgery was longer and very sore. No mater how you feel keep sipping the water and do small walks. If you have any questions feel free to ask me. You will do great
