couple questions

Hi , was wondering if anyone has heard of the clinics offering orientation over video phone for people over 100 miles away from their clinic ? i spoke to someone who had surgery Nov /12 and they were talking about it at her orientation . Also , the opti fast you need before surgery, is it covered and if not how much is it? Thanks Krista.

I went through HRRH and they would not do video phone until after surgery.

Not sure about videophone but optifast is not covered unfortunately. In Ottawa you go on it for three weeks and it is $300.

Optifast is not covered two week protocol - $159.60, 3 week protocol $239.40 and 4 week protocol is $319.20. Depending on your weight doctor will telling you which protocol you are on.

My opti-fast was $600 for a 6 week supply.

I'm not sure about over the phone video for your orientation,

Hi , i am going to be going to HRRH . I guess once i get my first orientation date i can find out. I live 3 hours north of Toronto and the girl i was talking to said they were promoting the video phone at her orientation last year. So maybe the idea fell through . She also went to HRRH. .. I will find out soon enough... Thanks for your help everyone.

how long you are on on opti is not just by your weight. They will look at if you had any surgery with your stomach and if they have conerns with the previous surgery and what type of scar tissues they will be dealing with. They had me on opti for 3 weeks and my weight was 235. It was because of previous surgery.  

Ok, thank-you. I had VBG done in the 90s. Had a tummy tuck done. Then the problems began soon after. I gained weight back quickly and then a hernia repair with mesh in 2007.  So lots of previous work done.... Thanks for the info.. Krista..
