Surgery date dilemma
Then yesterday I get a call for a cancelation and I can move my surgery to Sept 17th. This would put the surgery 3 weeks before my trip. Is it crazy to consider traveling so soon after surgery? Does anyone know if there are any travel restrictions after rny?
Whether you've had surgery or not, what would you do and/or recommend? I have to let the clinic know my decision by tomorrow and I am so torn.
Would love any input.
Is it possible to get a refund on the trip? If so, I'd cancel the trip, have the surgery, and go on the trip when I was used to my new way of life. :)

I want to hear what others say though. Good luck.
I would keep orginal operation date and go on trip.
i wouldn't travel on cruise that soon after.
you never know what medical problems you will have and you will be no where near a Canadian hospital. More less a doctor that knows about the surgery. You don't know what foods you can handle at that time either
I personally would stick with Nov
Honestly, I would not have the surgery then go that far away so soon after. I think the same, keep your November date, enjoy your vacation then start opti on your way home. Three weeks in my opinion is too soon to travel so far.
I also say keep your original date. Enjoy the fact that you have time until your surgery. I'm not complaining that mine came quick, but with a total of 3 days between finding out my date, and having to start Opti, I'm seriously wishing I had more time for some food funerals. But that's likely the hunger from the Opti talking. :)
Go on the cruise, and have fun!
