Journey is beginning!

Finally I feel like the journey is beginning. I had my orientation tonight, and they have my Social Worker appt and Nurse Practitioner appt all ready for us and handed it out at the end of the session.

SW appt is Sept 29 and Nurse Pratitioner is Jan 5. Has anyone gone through this process at Toronto Western? And has anyone been able to get appts sooner by calling in and asking for cancellation appts? Just curious, cause from end of Sept to Jan seems like a long time in between appts.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, you can absolutely call in and see if you can get an early appointment if they've had a cancellation. Good luck!

I was also in the orientation. I asked afterward and they told me to go ahead an call. Managed to get an earlier appointment for the later one. Depends on how many people rescheduled/cancelled (there were definitely a few smokers who had to). I was one of those smokers (who ended up having to restart the whole referral process over again) last year so I knew the drill :)
