Humber River Hospital Appointment Timelines

Hi, I am curious to know if anyone else has experience excessive wait times. My family doc referred me in Feb (2017), I've called a couple of times and they said I should get an info pkg soon and then an appointment. Is this normal?

Yes it's normal I was referred in oct of 2014 got my information package beginning of February with orientation date march 23 2015 after orientation didn't hear from them until august with surgery appointment in sept 2015 then trios was in December, Dr Glazer was in Jan 2016, feb 2016 second surgeon appointment April 11 2016 was my surgery.. lots of waiting takes about 1 1/2 yr to go through the process

Hey just hang in there. I had a referral On March 28 th and my orientation was on May 19th. I called and asked for any cancellations and I got in on April 28th. I haven't heard anything from them since though. I too hate this weight/ wait!

Totally normal.

I was referred May 2016, and my orientation was July and that was only because I followed up myself

During orientation they tell you to expect to wait approx. 1-1.5 years from date of referral to day of surgery

It may seem like a long time, but trust me, it goes by fast! Take the time to make as many positive changes as you can now It will help in the long run and also at your Trio appointment the RD will be looking for those changes you have implemented

Thanks for getting back to me. I did call HRH today and there are delays due to 'staffing issues' but I am in the que!

Have you received your info package and orientation date? I was referred at the end of April and have not received anything yet either. Would just be nice to know the process has started!
