Facelift Pic: Before vs After 11 Days Post-Op

Today is the first day I would consider going out in public (may go for a walk).  Here is the picture I use for my avatar on the left vs one I just took.  I have a lot of makeup on (dermablend over remaining bruises) and have my hair pushed forward to hide where incisions were and some bunchiness on one side.  Daily improvements (thank god).

Thanks - getting there. Still kind of lumpy and swollen across the cheekbones. But it looks much better every day.

Thanks Cynthia. I feel good, but I feel like I don't look like myself. I was hoping that with 3-5 weeks before anyone saw me they wouldn't know that I had work done.  I guess we will see..

I think it looks great and very natural- like you are well-rested. Someday I hope to get a facelift. I just want to look less tired.

You look amazing!! I thought it might take quite a long time to show the result. I think I should support my dad for undergoing facelift surgery. I was worried about his health as he is a type 2 diabetic patient. So I didn't support him when he said he would like to undergo this procedure. He has scheduled an appointment with a cosmetic surgeon in Mississauga but canceled it as I was not happy with his decision.

I'm glad I did it now (16 days post-op), but I wasn't so sure the first couple of days.  Regardless of what the surgeon says, if you don't want people to know you need several weeks to hide away or you have to use good makeup and have enough hair to cover the stitches in the beginning.  The stitches around my ears are still evident and I still have some residual bruises to cover up.  But I think it took a lot years off. I used to hate my fat face, but after losing weight the neck and jowls just made me hate my lower face.
