I just found out that I was approved.  I am really excited/scared now.  I own a business and I was wondering how long it was before you were able to go back to work?

Two weeks - but I should have taken more time. I rushed coming back too much.

I was off for 3 weeks. I could have gone back after 2 weeks, but I'm glad I took the extra week off.

Two weeks and I felt good when I went back... I was just tired until I fully adjusted.

I'm only 6 days post op right now so I can't fully answer your question but... I took 3 weeks off with hopes that I'll be back in 2 weeks. At 6 days... I'm thinking I'll use that extra 3rd week. Maybe that will change. Good luck and congrats on your approval!

I am off for 6 weeks. I feel like i could go back now at almost a month out. However my job descp requires i be able to lift up o 50 lbs...dont even have to but since its in the descp my surgeon wont let me go back unless its on light duty which is something my hr dept will not allow...I just decided oh well ill take 6 weeks off! I normally work 65-70 hrs a week so its a much needed vacation!

I was off for 3 full weeks and then 1/2 days for a week.  Could have come back after the 3 weeks but I had the time so figured why not!!  And I have a desk job so I didnt have to move around to much.

Good luck!

About three months but I had complications - very severe pneumonia, had to be in the hospital for three weeks, on a respirator part of that time.

I had surgery on Wednesday, went to work the following Monday.  I had my panniculectomy 13 days ago - and today is my 1st day back.  Desk job that requires no lifting.
