When you weigh and you find  you lost one pound, you ONLY lost one pound but if you step on that same scale and you GAINED a pound, it's this monumental thing?

Just sayin.

The way my weight fluctuates with water retention, and nearing 4 years post-op, I don't worry OR rejoice over anything less than 4 pounds. Ever.

I've been avoiding the scale.

That way it can't taunt me

I've really tried not to get OCD about the scale. I think any poundmlost is better than a pound gained for some people. I was up 4 pounds one week, got a little upset but the next week I was down 6. I promised myself in the beginning I wouldn't weigh morer than once a week and I wouldn't. Freak out about the numbers. I know that if I let it, the scale would become something that would control me!
