Back At Home... Again

Hey ya'll - I just spent the last 5 days in the hospital again. I had horrible burning in my chest and couldn't stop vomiting. I had two CT scans - they found nothing, but I did end up with a pretty bad potassium deficiency. i came home on Carafate, Nexium, zofran AND phenergan suppositiories. I am doing well, but I am nervous about my symptoms coming back. What does this sound like to you guys? Can we take Mylanta or chew Tums? Because honestly, NONE of the medications really HELPED the burning sensation in my chest.

wow.  I hope you have a speedy recovery.
my surgeon has his patients on disolvable antacids from day 1 for 3 months.  I would call and ask to be sure.

I took a Nexium this morning, and skipped the Carafate, because they seemed to aggravate the burning. Guess what? NO BURNING!! I'm thrilled.
