I had to have all my tests before approval (CTs, Stress test, etc.) I was approved  2/23 before my surgery on 3//14. All I had to do was go to the hospital and do the preop labs and get preregistered. I was originally scheduled for the 7th but got backed up to the 14th so he could do a flex sig. It was all pretty fast at that point.

Thanks. As I stated, I am curious about the timeline. Now I see what others are speaking of.........the constant thought of getting that call some time soon. When the phone rings........is it the secre with good news? Lol

I was approved on Feb. 15th and had an appointment on the Feb, 24th at that appointment I was there all day I had labs, CT and all the other pre-opt stuff done. I had surgery on Mar. 1st so once I was approved the process went pretty fast.

I had to have an upper GI, chest x-ray, PFT, psych. eval, lab work, and be cleared by my PCP and a cardiologist. Once that was done my surgeon's office submitted it to my insurance. Once my insurance approved me my surgeon's office called I had a surgery date 3 weeks later.
