Great book if you're thinking about WLS
The Expert's Guide to Weight-Loss Surgery: Is it right for me? What happens during surgery? How do I keep the weight off?
by Garth Davis, MD with Laura Tucker
My surgeon actually REQUIRES his patients to read this book before surgery, but I would recommend it to anyone looking into WLS or in the process of having WLS to read it. It is incredibly informative, open, honest and gives examples of real experiences of real people who have had the surgery. I was really worried about whether or not I was making the right decision in having this surgery and worried about the surgery itself, too. This book gave me a lot of insight and comfort.
