Wine
Also, make sure you're not driving even if you only have one glass. The alcohol goes straight into our systems we can become legally impaired with 2 drinks. I have to say I think it's a really bad idea for you to drink considering you're not even healed from surgery. You can be social without alcohol. If you don't think you can you may really need to be careful since alcoholism is the #1 transfer addictions for us. Just be careful...
Personally, I don't ever intend to drink alcohol again. I am concerned about transfer addiction- I've heard alot of stories about this, my NUT says we become legally impaired on only a few sips - not glasses, I don't want the empty calories, I don't want to risk dumping, and most important - I only have one liver. We have to be concerned about cirrhosis after RNY and since my dad died of idiopathic (in other words the dr.s couldn't find a reason why) liver failure. He died painfully and in less than a month from onset of symptoms. I would never risk wine/alcohol for my life. I love myself, my kids, and my DH too much.
