Hi all!

My surgeon recommends waiting about a year after giving birth to have WLS, and I was wondering if anyone knew if this is the standard waiting period...

Yes a friend of mine was all set to have surgery and found out she was pregnant, they told her 12-15 months to give her body enough time to heal and recover.

my surgeon didnt have any waiting period. my son was 6 months when i started the process and then at 9 months i had the surgery. this was just last week.

I was 9 months post pardom when I had my surgery. My surgen had no problem with it.

my surgeon says to wait 18 months because you body is working better at absorbing by then
