Quality protein drink with least calories

I am looking for a quality protein drink that has the least amount of calories. I've decided taste at this point is secondary to getting in my protein with the least amount of calories. I've even started mixing my GNC Pro Performance Isolate with water only to cut down on the calories but it is still 230 calories (50 g of protein).

Isopure. Liquid - clear. - RTD
and any other pure whey isolate. Check About Time Whey. It is whey isolate with no artificial stuff added.  24 gr of proteins = 100 cal.

50 gr proteins = 200 calories. so only 30 are extra. That's very good, IMO.

every gr of proteins is worth 4 calories. So for every 25 gr of proteins you will have minimum of 100 calories.

I drink about time - it's 103 calories for like 24 grams of protein. I only use the one scoop per shake.

There are about 7 calories in an ounce of lean protein and aboutn 4 calories per gram of protein, so you will not find, for instance, a protein drink that has less than 80 calories for a 20g protein serving (or less than 200 calories for a 50g protein serving)... so the GNC that is 230 calories for 50g of protein is actually good

Keep in mind that when you mix protein pwder with milk, although you are adding calories, you are also adding protein.

Lora has a very valid point.  When it comes to protein, as long as you are not getting the weight GAINING variety, they are going to be pretty much the same.  230 calories for 50 grams of protein is a pretty good statistic.

I use Nectar quite a lot, and they have 23 grams of protein and 90 calories per scoop.  So for 2 scoops (42grams) it would be 180 calories.  For a 50 gram drink of Nectar it would be 195 calories.  So they are all pretty close.

I don't use milk, so I mix all my protein drinks with water and pour them over ice.

I like Pure WPI by Bioplex. It's a pre-digested whey protein so your body doesn't have to break it down to absorb, and only 80 calories/20g protein. I like the chocolate.

I use EAS AdvantEDGE Carb Control. 17 g of protein, 110 calories. It comes in chocolate, strawberry and vanilla. I actually like the taste of this brand, but I can only vouch for chocolate. It is premixed and about $5.00 for 4 - Walmart is cheapest. You have to be sure to get Carb Control, because the original has a lot of sugar, and this has none.

I'm not trying to tell you not to drink what you like (heaven knows it is hard enough to find protein powders that are tolerable), but I wanted to point out that the one you are drinking is not a particularly good one in terms of the amount of protein you get for the calories ingested (since that is what the OP asked about).  If all the calories were just from the protein alone, it should be only 68 calories for 17g of protein... which means that, you are getting 42 calories (38% of the total calories) in something other than protein (and only 61% is from the protein).

Other brands will be fewer calories for that amount of protein or will be higher in protein for that number of calories.  (The Unjury, for example, which is what I use, is only 80 calories for 20g of protein.)
