I am home

My surgery was Monday.  I got home last evening.  I want you to know that I am home with oxygen and insulin injections.  My doc said that having to use oxygen for a few weeks is common with this surgery.  She also said that blood sugar tends to rise when there is pain and if mine rises above 160 I need to inject myself.  So,, this is just an FYI for those of you who are about to have your surgery. 

And I want to give a "shout out" to Dr. Farah Husain, Kaiser, and Exempla St. Joseph's hospital.  They took really good care of me. 

So glad you're home and doing well!  Hope you have a speedy recovery!  My surgery is Dec. 27.  Can't hardly wait!  Take care of yourself!

Welcome home! I had surgery yesterday, and am waiting to be released in the next couple hours.
BTW, My blood sugar was 150, but did not have to take anything.

I was on O2 for a couple of days after my surgery. I was discharged later in the day after being off O2 for 7 hours. They also stopped my BP med (diuretic). That plus IVs increased my pre-op weight by 12 lbs, which took 8 days to lose!
