Finally got my date. March 14th!!! I am so excited and can't wait to get started. Does anyone have a good protein reccomendation for post op?

LOL IM 4DAYS POSTOP AND IM STILL TRYING TO FIND A GOOD PROTEIN...I GOT A BOTTLE OF WHITE GRAPE PROTEIN LLIQUID STUFF FROM MY SURGEONS OFFICE AND IT IS DIIIIIIIISGUUUUUUUUUUISTING BUT I HEARD THAT ITS VERY HARD AT FIRST SO I DONT BEAT MYSELF UP ABOUT IT CUZ I KNOW ONCE ITS THE PUREE STAGE ILL MOST DEFINATELY BE GETTING IT IN...GOOD LUCK AND CONGRATS!!!!!!!

Congrats on getting your surgery date :) The first three weeks post op, NOTHING tasted good, it's just trial and error. Just because you like something preop doesn't necessarily mean you will like it postop. My taste buds have majorly changed !

I have the Premier brand chocolate flavored protein shakes..30 grams of protein, 1 gram of sugar, and 160 calories per serving...they came in a big pack from Costco. They are delicious! I also like the EAS protein powder in the chocolate flavor you can get at Wal mart for around $10. Good luck, my surgery is only a few days before yours and I am so excited!
