I am having a hard time because I feel full. I go to my first post-op appt. tomorrow. I am afraid of becoming dehydrated too.  Aargh!

You will learn to hate it but right now the clock is your friend. Keep one in front of you always to remind you to take a sip every 5 minutes, or whatever length of time you can comfortably get your 64 oz in.

I had the same problem and landed myself in the hospital for almost a week. My dr asked if I was getting in my fluids and I said I tried and he matter of factly told me I didn't try hard enough.

I highly recommend getting a 30oz Sports bottle and keep it glued to you and make sure you definitely drank the bottle in entirety twice before bed. Full or not. Severe dehydration is much more uncomfortable than sipping while feeling bloated/full.

Thanks. I will keep trying. Don't want to land back in the Hosp.

Lots of people find that SF Popsicles help them get more fluid in very early out...
