Question for you guys- I am 7 weeks out, and I am still getting lightheaded when I stand up. Is that normal, and for how long does it last? It's more of an annoyance than anything, but it has happened twice while I picked up my son and that worries me. Should I ask my doc?

I was told one month not picking up anything over 15 lbs. But let's be honest- I'm a mommy. I have 2 kids. I lifted him alot. But I was really careful. :)

Yes it is fairly common. It's called orthostatic hypotension. Just go slllllllooowwww when you are moving from one position to another.

I had some lightheadedness for about the first two months. Only if I stood up fast. I chalked it up to not drinking enough, but orthostatic hypotension sounds way cooler.

If you know you're getting enough fluids in, I would also recommend reading up on orthostatic hypotension.  I've been having the same problems since surgery and finally saw my PCP at about 3 months out because it wasn't getting any better.  Your doctor can check your blood pressure while you're in different positions to try to diagnose it.  There's no fix, but at least it might give you better understanding of what's going on.  Good luck!

I'm 18wks out and I seem to have light headed issues too, though mine are not when I stnd up, its every time I bend over. I also every now and again lose my balance and side step too.
