 I still identify as a fat person, and comments about them wound me.  Anger me.  It's like they are talking ABOUT me, and I don't like that.  Whether they knew I used to be that big or not...

Me too! I still feel like one of the fat people. I've noticed that friends who NEVER said anything about overweight people to me before now comment to me about others. Now I know what they were thinking all along....
