TMI question...yup, another poop question

I'm about to start my 2nd week of my 2 week liquid diet before my surgery on the 20th.  I've been in the bathroom on/off for the past 2 days.  Is there anything I can take or do that would help this...I have to go back to work on Tuesday.

 Stay close to the bathroom! LOL 

I'm at the tail end of my two week liquid diet, and man, it is nonstop. I think part of my problem is that my period started yesterday. Usually I'm constipated before my TOM, and then have relief once it starts. This month, however, the liquid diet has kept me near a bathroom at all times.

LOL, thanks!  Yeah, I figured it was pretty hopeless but I wanted to ask just to see.  I don't want to take Immodium since I have to do the cleanse next weekend before surgery.

 i have a question for you, on your liquid diet, are you getting in protein shakes as well?  Or is it just all clear liquid ?   I am starting my 2 week liquid diet tomorrow.   I am just curious.

 I'm doing the following:

4 protein shakes/day (27g protein per shake--not counting any milk added)
2-3 servings of fruit
1 can of Vegetable Garden soup OR a large garden salad with balsamic vinegar
SF jello or SF Popsicles (2 at most)
At least 64 oz. of clear, caffeine-free beverages (Crystal Light, plain water, herbal tea, etc.)

Did they give you a plan to follow during this time?

if you are adding milk to your protein shakes, you may be lactose intolerant. switch to a lactose free milk and see if that stops the diarrhea.

 Try a little metamucil in one or two of the shakes.  Might firm things up.
