First Pre-OP appt done!

I've had my first preop appt with Dr. Teele.  I appreciated his honesty and frankness.  I'm a lightweight, BMI 41.9, weight 252, have most of the comorbidities including a 9.5 A1C.  Dr Teele said he usually doesn't even mention the Switch but with all of my meds and my A1C, I should seriously research both the switch and the RNY.  What can any of you tell me?  I've read a lot, know some of the pros and cons, have read a few of the forum posts.  I'm ready for this, but want to be as informed as possible before I make any decisions.
