First bike ride since surgery

I tried my first bike ride since surgery,  I decided to make it just a short ride and I am sure glad I did.  I have felt so normal I forget I will tire easy.  I only rode for 7 miles and for 1/2 hour and I was wiped out when I got home.  I had been warned but silly me wanted to be an over achiever.  while on the ride I thought Oh I should take this other way it will only add a few more miles.  I am glad I did not do it.  Exercise is great but I need to remember I did just have surgery a few weeks ago and need to give myself time to recover.  maybe next week I can up it to a 1 hour ride.

I experienced the same thing with the gym.  Remember, baby steps.  Even with baby steps, you are still moving in the right direction!  :)

WTG!!!  I can't wait till I can ride my bike again!  Just don't over do it! 

 7 miles on a first ride is extream. Don't overdo it. Congrats though on completing it. I love bike riding. Too bad you don't live in North Dallas. White Rock Lake is wonderful place to ride.
