Question about weight loss
I have a question for those of you who were bigger(or had more weight to loose in the begining). I was wondering how long your weight loss continued? I am almost ten months out and have heard different things:
1. weight loss stops at 12 mths
2. weight loss stops at 18 mths
3. weight loss stops when your body is where it needs to be as long as you follow the diet.
I am just wondering because I would like to loose another 40lbs having lost already about 150lbs.

Thats a good question, cause I'm almost 11 months post op and I still have like 30 lbs to goal weight. But right now, I think my body likes where its at cause I havent really lost anything these past two months. Ive been at a stand still. i'm not worried about it though. I guess if this is where it wants to be, so be it. But... i would love to see it at goal... or at least near goal. I'm more worried about the bounce back.

You're "honeymoon" period where it's easy to lose weight lasts for most of us anywhere from 18-24 months. However, after that time you can still lose weight, it's just going to take more work.
I started at 390, lost 50 before surgery, and then 18 months later got to 185, I bounced up 20 2 years later but have since lost 25lbs and am happily at a great weight for my body. Plus I've become an cyclist and life is grand!
You can do this, just keep following the rules and even though you may have plateaus, you can keep dropping lbs, and inches!
Best of luck,
