You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.

I eat pizza with no problems. I think my first piece post-op was probably when I was about 6 months out. I think I ate 1/2 slice back then. After the 9 month mark when I was in a stall, I would eat a slice of pizza and lose 3 pounds overnight. It broke my stall every time. I think my body needed to be shaken up. Now I can eat 2 slices. I have pizza about once a month. I love it.

Ditto what was said.....you may or may not get stuck....it's ok for something that is eaten not too often but it's not the best choice out there.

The crust is like bread.  But I eat bread and I've never had it get stuck.  I've actually never had anything get stuck.

I ate one a half slices of Dominoes pizza for dinner tonight!

I do pizza chips and never miss real pizza at all.  In fact, really what is good is the topping anyway.

I make portabello pizza now, just my size. Just hollow out the cap of a mushroom and add your pizza sauce, cheese, and I use turkey sausage or turkey pepperoni - yummy!!

How do you dry the mushroom after washing it?  Last time I did this, I couldn't get it dry enough, and the cheese didn't really stick to the mushroom, and it was a watery mess.  A very delicious tasting watery mess, but a mess none the less.  Or should I not wash the mushroom?

You should never wash mushrooms - they are little sponges - that's why you got the watery mess!!!!!   Just wipe them clean with a paper towel...

I haven't tried pizza - yet.  Too much fat/grease make me nauseous so I'm not going there.  I HATE nauseous.
