I am so excited! (Also a little nervous!) After a bout of the GI big over the last couple days I am feeling fine and ready for my date with destiny!
I am confident in my surgeon, have prayed to God for a guiding hand and speedy recovery. I know that all will be ok and this is the GREATEST Christmas gift that I can give myself and my family!! I am ready to finally be the real me, the BEST me that I can be! Hopefully diabetes free and full of evergy for my four grandbabies, my kids, my husband, my patients (I am a nurse) and ME!!

CONGRATS!!!! im nervous for you but im sure everything will go fine. im new here and very afraid myself. im scared of all the complications behind the surgery but i know its for the best. i have diabetes as well. how did you decide that the bypass was right for you. why not the sleeve or ds?

Good luck and sending prayers your way for a safe surgery and speedy recovery. I myself am having my surgery on Tuesday! So I am in the same boat! RNY here I come. Best of luck! Hope to hear from you after the surgery. What a great Christmas gift we have received!

Thanks girls!! All I can say is that RNY is the gold standard, and the one that my doctor and I felt was the best choice for me. Talk to your doctor and do a LOT of research....Good Luck!!
