From what I have read, 2-3 days.  How long were you in the hospital after your surgery?  Did you have any complications?

My surgeon says 2 nights for RNY and 1 night for lap-band.     I was only in for 1 night and thought I had done great, but wound up with complications later.   Now I am over it and feeling like a million bucks!

I was told 2-3 days.  I hope its no longer than that. However, I am an RN on the unit right next to the Bariatric unit at the hospital where I am having it done.  I have already had about 25 coworkers tell me that they are going to come over and check on me and keep me company.  :)  We are a HUGE unit with about 50 RN's.   I've been there for a long time and I am a preceptor so I pretty much get along with everybody there.  A couple of the girls said that if my nurses on the bariatric unit were not taking care of me well enough that they would take over my care.  LOL!!  It' doesn't work like that but it really made me feel special.  I love my coworkers.   :)
