What "that's probably not a good idea" food are you mad you can't eat right now?
Man, if I had to narrow it down to one food..... hmmmm..... gotta be apple fritters. I dump on high sugar + high fat, so my fried dough sweeties are just completely not a good idea at all. Or I have 2 hrs of pain/nausea/palpitations/sweats to look forward to... Most other things that I completely eschewed in the first year have either been categorized into 1) under the dumping threshold so I might do this in moderation or on rare occasion, 2) I don't dump on this but it's a gateway drug for the carb monster, or 3) no longer dump on this and it can be my daily/weekly treat! (for example, bananas. Way high on carbs but it's my treat for runs that exceed 1 hr. Whoda thunk that I'd be considering bananas a treat??)

I really miss carbs...pasta, rice, chips, tortillas, fresh baked bread.
But, I've also discovered a few foods that are on the "allowed" list, like nut butters, that I really have NO CONTROL over. My portion sizes are still too big because it's a smooth, low density food, and I can easily eat too much without my pouch getting full. I've had trouble in the last 3 weeks with peanut butter and I just had to throw out the jar.
Come visit me on my blog, Through a Cooking Glass! I talk about my journey through WLS and learning to live, cook, and eat on the other side.
