Mexico

This is a question for Losers who went to Mexico for their surgery.  How did you handle the followup?  blood tests, etc.  Did you find a dr in your local area who would order the tests.  My primary care dr does not agree with my decision and is trying to convince me to go local so I am not sure how helpful he will be after.  I don't have $30k to stay in the States for my surgery.

I went to Mexico and luckily my normal doctor agreed to do the follow-up, but originally they didn't agree to do it so I called around to find someone.  I just said I was going out of state.  They were more cooperative.  Calling around you will probably find a doctor that will do it if yours won't.  Good luck!

My pcp did all my followup. He was very upset with me at first until he looked into my Mexican doctors credential. Dr. Valencia taught at UCLA for two years doing RNY. Their hospitals are much cleaner than ours. IV's are old style but the care is excellent.
