Wound??

 

Anyone have a wound open up?? It's only a mm or two in the middle, but wonder wether I need to call office?

 

I didn't with RNY, but I did with my hysterectomy.  It continued opening up and I had to have it packed with silver packing eventually because it wasn't healing.

One of my wounds became infected and it had to be reopened and cleaned out. They had to pack it and it was soon all better. Call the doctors office and just speak with the nurse. They may have you just keep a band aid over it and keep it clean. Jus****ch for infection.

I did and I started wet packing it as I had to do from a previous surgery when I went in for my regular visit the doctor said I did exactly what he suggests. After a couple more weeks of nothing healing he told me to go "old fashioned" on it and use peroxide to dry it up and heal it. I did and it healed within a couple of weeks. Keep an eye on it for infection and if you feel it needs attention call the doc and ask them what to do with it.
