When were you allowed to start driving again after surgery? I"m a week and half out.

Well, when I called my surgeon's office they said it was not yet recommended but I drove myself to my 2-week-checkup Tuesday and it was close to 2 hours each way.  I have not had pain and am feeling good though and did not have a problem.

I was told as soon as I was not taking pain meds, and comfortable enough to drive I was good to go.

I was told I could drive as soon as I was completely off the pain meds & I was comfortable turning my body so I could check mirrors etc.

Thanks for asking! I was thinking the same thing myself.

When you have been narcotic free for 24 hours is always the recommendation.    I had no problem driving the day after I was discharged as I had not had any pain relief since the day of surgery.
