100 Pounds!
I hope your surgery goes smoothly. Early on - take the pain meds offered and walk as much as you can around the hospital floor. If I wasn't sleeping or eating, I was walking. When you get home - be patient with yourself and keep walking.
I attribute much of my success to physical activity. I walked 30 minutes 6 days a week and then started running after I lost the first 30-40 pounds. I migrated to running slowly and now I'm training for my first half marathon on May 4.
As I introduced new foods I started with one "new" food at a time so I could eliminate things that didn't settle well in my pouch. I also started off with ready-to-drink protein shakes because they were easier than trying to mess with the blender. Pure Protein and Oh Yeah are my faviorite brands.
Above all, listen to your doctor and nutritionist and ask questions. I am fortunate to go to a fantastic center of excellence and they really have their act together.
I'm so excited for you! This is a wonderful tool and I am so thankful I had RNY!
