OT-Help with messages

It seems I cannot write messages on this site to other members. I also cannot create a blog on my profile. When I go to try and type something in the box is all grey and does not allow me to type. Anyone know how to fix this?

I had the same issues with my new laptop & windows 8 had to go to my account, settings, message board then where it says default editor type select HTML Editor #2. Now I can reply to messages & change my Signature. Hope this helps.
