Tomorrow is 2 weeks post op for me so I can start on pureed foods Wednesday.  I'd love to hear what everyone's favorites were when on this stage and any tips or ideas?  Thanks!

My very favorite puree was low fat chili....I couldn't do plain pureed meat, just the thought made me gag...but I could eat that nasty looking pureed chili, lol.   Also, greek yogurt made to taste like cheesecake, protein ice cream....anything that sounded good.

I loved the Ricotta Bake from Eggface! It was so good!

1 cup ricotta cheese
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup pasta sauce
1 beaten egg
1/2 cup mozzarella
1 tsp Italian seasoning
And I added 1 tsp minced garlic

Mix the ricotta, Parmesan, egg, seasoning, and garlic and place in a small oven safe dish. Layer sauce on top of that and sprinkle cheese on top. Meatless and noodle-less lasagna that was sooooo good! Even my kids and hubby loved it!

I too would like to know what to eat. With the Ricotta bake what temp and how long? How much of theses foods were you aloud to eat?

Refried beans and ricotta bake were may faves too. I also enjoyed yogurt and applesauce. When I did the ricotta bake, I make it in a muffin tin, filling them about halfway. It gave me easy potions to pull out of the fridge. In the beginning I ate less than one.

Thanks so much everyone! My NUT suggested making chili- puree it in the blender- then pour it into an ice cube tray and freeze for perfect starting portions to microwave quick and easy. I'll definitely try the ricotta bake!
