Ok so it sounds like a thunderstorm in there.  Is this a permanent side effect?  No pain, just feels a baby kicking and the loud noises

A lot of people find that the noises get better to a certain degree (less loud or less frequent or both) as times passes, but others find that it doesn't change much.  It is primarily because the intestine that is attached to your pouch is accustomed to getting food that has already be partially processed by the portion of intestine that has not been bypassed, and now that food hasn't been processed at all except by the saliva from when you chewed it.  (Chewing everything very well helps keep the noises down, BTW.)

Personally, mine are MUCH less frequent and considerably less loud than they were during the first 6-9 months (when it could be embarrassingly loud!)

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
