Hi all. I am 5days post op and have already lost 5 lbs. I had no complications. Just a slight fever. Pain was only sore abs for the first 3 days. Herniated discs and dislocated shoulders hurt me worse in the past. Thanks for the well wishes!

Hooray!!  Glad everything went well for you and you are now officially on the flipside! And I feel you about the herniated disc part.  I have a slipped disc in my L12 or whatever it mean and it touches the Sciatic Nerve (sp?) which just KILLS ME EVERYTIME.  It's the biggest reason I became so stagnant the last 3 years!  And this surgery was a cakewalk (pun intended) compared to all those back spasms!

So here you go!! WAHOO!!!! losing weight, feeling great, I can't wait until I'm size eight...teen....first. hahaha

I feel so bad for you! Have you tried a chiro or surgery? Both can offer relief. I dont want to jinx myself... But a size 18 is way better than a 28

You will do great!!! Is.yours laproscopic? Mine was. Just remember on your first walk to step slowly and carefully after the anesthesia! It may get slighty more stiff on the firdt walk then your abs will loosen up and you will actually want to walk.

Yes, my surgery going to be done laparoscopic. Its my first surgery ever (go big or go home) so I appreciate the tips, encouragement and hearing how your recovery is coming along.  I have lots of stairs in my house, were they a problem when you got home?

Hi - 9 days postop and feeling pretty good.  Can't wait to switch to pureed foods this week hopefully.  Lower left abdomen still very sore when I twist my torso or try to lie on either side.

Glad you're doing well - sounds like things are off to a good start.  Isn't this site a great resource?
