Salad
I had RNY surgery on April 1st. I think I was eating salads by about 3-4 months and it's a big staple for me now. I'm grateful I can still eat them, since it's one of the "healthy" foods that I would choose to eat because I enjoy them so much. I did have a friend who couldn't eat them until about the 6 month mark.
every plan is different. I had to wait until 3 mo out to add veggies and then only 1/2 cup after I got my protein in. I would not have been able to get it in at that point and still get in my protein for the day. I feel that you should pick your surgeon not only based on his cutting skills but the plan he offers, and in doing so one should follow the plan they are given.
I think six weeks. Until I was on a regular diet. Why does your nutritionist want you to wait so long?
Please note: I AM NOT A DOCTOR. If you want medical advice, talk to your doctor. Whatever I post, there is probably some surgeon or other health care provider somewhere that disagrees with me. If you want to know what your surgeon thinks, then ask him or her. Check out my blog.
