Popcorn
My dietitian said to try to weigh everything on a food scale. It was more accurate. 1/2 cup of strawberries weighed out on the scale as 4 ozs. etc. So now I want popcorn. If I weigh out 1 cup of popcorn on the scale 8 oz. is a lot of popcorn. A lot! Any thoughts. How do you measure popcorn? I got the skinny pop from Costco which is 39 calories/cup and just about nothing else.
Use the nutritional values on the popcorn label. Whatever it says one serving is, weigh that, then pop it. My brand says 33 grams of unpopped makes 5 cups in volume when popped, for 120 calories -- when air popped. 33 grams of unpopped popcorn is 1.164 ounces by weight.

I measured by volume, not weight. My pouch is a certain size. It can hold a certain volume. It does not have a scale in there and does not care what something weighs.

If you think of your pouch like a bowl, well, how do you know how much of something you can put in a bowl? You'd say, well this bowl holds one cup of whatever. Not this bowl holds half a pound of something.
