Tongue
Do you have any discoloration or whitish coating on your tongue? I see that you recently had surgery and it is not too uncommon to get thrush. If it continues past a few days, you might want to go see your PCP to get a prescription because it can go down your tongue to your throat and, in some cases, cause diffuse pain that hinders swallowing.

I recently finished a prescribed medicine given to me to prevent thrush. I will keep that in mind though if it persists. Thanks.
Ahh, ok. I am assuming it was a pill, like Diflucan? Sometimes you need to take it longer for particularly resistant strains or do a swish and swallow, like Nystatin. Of course, I am NOT a doctor so I have no idea if you do have thrush, I just have tons of experience looking at tongues.
FWIW, I did find my tongue is more sensitive to spicy seasonings and food after surgery, which kinda sucks because I LOVE hot and spicy stuff so I have had to tone them down a bit. I assume it is from not having so much crap chemicals and foods coating my tongue all the time.
Keep an eye on it and talk to your doctor if you don't have any improvement in the next few days.
Best wishes!

It was the swish and swallow. It looks normal, no discoloration or bumps. Maybe it's just a sensitivity but I go back for my four week postoperative Tuesday and I'll follow up with them. Thanks again.
