A happy road

I'm just 10 weeks post op but I wanted to post a success.  I realized early in that on obesityhelp there are 3 main posts. People pre op planning and asking, successful check ins at 3months, 6 months and a year, and those having complications looking for answers.

I've had a easy road. The surgery was successful with no complications and I was back to normal within 2 weeks. My new pouch is happy with all food as long as I don't eat too fast.  I am losing and enjoy exercising at this new weight 45 lbs down.  I have no pain, take all my vitamins, I'm off my blood pressure meds and I feel very normal while being in social situations.

Im so happy I chose this route. I wish I'd rebounded quicker when I was crushed after a set back  the first time 6 years ago.   I went to Disney last week and I was comfortable on the plane, and all the rides! I could walk 15 hours a day and be ready to go by 6 am the next day!

this is the best $10,000 I've ever spent...deductible for insurance is $4,800 Plus a WLS deductible of $5,000

Glad for you! Congratulations!

“Let someone love you just the way you are – as flawed as you might be, as unattractive as you sometimes feel, and as unaccomplished as you think you are. To believe that you must hide all the parts of you that are broken, out of fear that someone else is incapable of loving what is less than perfect, is to believe that sunlight is incapable of entering a broken window and illuminating a dark room.”― Marc Hack

Great post. I can hear read how happy you are. When things go right, this is the best experience. I'm like you. No issues after initial bout of surgery complications for gallbladder removal. I haven't felt this normal since before my band surgery in 2009. It feels so freeing.

Lapband surgery in 2009 -  Revision to RNY August 13, 2013 with gallbladder removal.
