When will it be comfortable...

To wear ANY kind of bra? I had rny and hiatal hernia repair and even the sports bra is uncomfortable and hurts. I got the largest size and have even tried my regular wired bra extended to the last hook when I was on the tightest before surgery. I am 8 days out from surgery. Any help or experience totally appreciated! Thanks!

I had the same surgery and repair exactly one year before you. It takes time. I know right now when you are going through the healing process it seem like forever, I remember that. It will get better hang in there

Forgot to mention that while I was healing I would wear a genie bra that was larger than I needed. I could not wear a regular bra or sports bra for several weeks. Help this helps.

Isn't the genie bra similar to a regular sports bra?

It's a lot stretchier and is very very comfortable.  Sports bras, for me aren't that comfortable.

No I bought danskin basic sports bras stretchiest as I could find. I figured they would be similar and they were 1/2 they price. How long has it taken for you guys to be able to wear a normal bra again?

You might consider getting a surgical tank that is used after breast cancer surgery.  I got two after my lumpectomy, and have used it many time after that.  It's a tank and it fits tightly, so holds everything in place nicely when you can't wear a bra.  I got mine at Nordstrom, but any store that is certified for fit mastectomy products will carry them.
