Two Days and a Wake-up

My surgery is this Thurs. I'm starting me pre-surgery diet today. Starting to get nervous, but I've scheduled a massage and Reiki session for tomorrow to relax and get my energy aligned. I'm hoping for a morning surgery time (althought not TOO early...).

I'm feeling like this is a sea change in my life.

Thank you all for being here.

Wishing you the very best with surgery!! I just had my RNY last Thursday 8/21 and can completely relate to how you feel. I was nervous until I arrived to the hospital at 5:45 AM....afterwards, everything went so fast and before I realized it I was in the recovery room... Recovery for me has been getting better each day!

My surgery is on Thursday too.  RNY party at 7:30 am, mine is a revision from VBG in 2003.  Yes I too am nervous.  Start clear liquids and laxatives tomorrow, yuck, but necessary I guess.

My problem has been sleeping, just can't turn off my brain.  Working from home tomorrow and then taking my Chihuahua to a friend to watch over for a week.  My daughter decided to take a week off but not sure I will need her but nice to know she is there if I do.  I am 62 and worried about the recovery time since I am a diabetic sometimes I heal slower than others.

Wishing you all of the best and sending prayers your way.  See you on the other side.
