My surgeon is recommending the RNY procedure for me but I suffer from frequent headaches and migraines for which I currently take ibuprofen and excedrin migraine OTC meds. Has anyone found an effective OTC migraine medication that isn't an NSAID?

I had major migraines before surgery... They have gotten better after surgery.. I even weened off my daily migraine meds... I can't speak for otc, but have you checked to see about a daily med like zonegran or topamax to avoid pain meds?

I used to have migraine multiple times per week.  Since my surgery, I have had 1.  Focus on gettimg your water in, and following correct nutrition, and you may find the migraine mostly gone.  Cutting out gluten/sugar/caffiene etc seems to have made a big difference.
