What's on your menu Monday, RNYers?
Good morning everyone (still morning here on the West Coast). This was a sad weekend for me. I attended a memorial service for a friend that I lost too soon to pancreatic cancer. It was a hard day, but was also uplifting to see so many of her friends a co-workers gather together to celebrate her life.
Today I am working 1/2 day, and then I will be volunteering at a local food bank to honor MLK day. Then I will be at my Dad's house for the evening.
Congratulations Anny on your loss and your interview. I know you will do great. Let us know how it goes.

L: 1/2 can tuna, 2 tbsp Canola mayo and chopped onion
S: Think Thin salted caramel bar (I'll be at the food bank, so need something easy to eat)
D: Not sure yet. Since I am cooking for my Dad tonight, I need to stop at the store on my way to his house. I'm thinking steak and shrimp (I can eat the shrimp) and he can have the leftover steak for sandwiches.

I am so sorry for your loss :( I was just saying that I know way too many people with pancreatic cancer. And considering it has a 5% survival rate, that's very distressing. I don't know if it is caught too late because the symptoms are often mistaken for something else, but I have seen a definite increase among my circle. It's terrible.
That's awesome that you are volunteering today. My company does not have the day off so while all of my friends are off galavanting today, I am working away (and reading this post ha ha).
Enjoy your day!
Good afternoon all! Congratulations Anny on being so very close to goal!!! That is such exciting news! Also good luck on the job interview today! I'm sure it will go well.
I went to Vegas this weekend and ate (what felt like constantly) and walked the whole weekend. I was sure that I would be up, but I guess my walking up and down the strip prevented that from happening. I was actually down about 2.5 pounds. I did get in my protein each day . . . I was fearing I wouldn't be able to. My husband was so sweet and we walked all over the hotel to find the perfect restaurant with the best meal options for me. I didn't think it would be so easy to travel and find things that worked for me.
So today, back to normal . . .
Time since surgery: 3.5 months
