Good morning menu folks! It was a cold and windy weekend and I opted not to do any hiking. I did swim each day though so I did get in some exercise. I enjoy my time in the pool and feel good after I'm done.

QOTD: I like green and red and yellow and I try to wear the green and red on a regular basis. At our last house, I painted the living room a light green and the bedroom a bright yellow. We haven't painted in this house, but I think that I would paint the bedroom yellow again. It is so bright and sunny and I love it. It makes me feel warm and happy. I don't wear yellow though because I don't look good in it.

Accountability: I'm adding more calories into my diet, including fruit and nuts (almonds and cashews). I also had some butternut squash for dinner last night that was good. I hope that my weight will stabilize with the extra calories and fat.

Menu:

Breakfast: hard boiled egg, 1/2 cup oatmeal, 2 oz ham

Snack: Cappuccino protein shake

Lunch: 4 oz turkey breast, broccoli slaw

Snack: 2 oz smoked salmon, apple

Dinner: leftover Kung Pao chicken, blueberries, almonds

Exercise: 60 minutes of pool time

Good morning! Guess what I did this weekend!? I bought a used treadmill off craigslist and Grim is going to put it together for me today! I am so excited :)

Accountability: UGH, I suck. I need to stop eating perfectly all week and going off the rails on weekends. It is a terrible pattern.

QOTD: I don't feel strongly about one color. I love all things colorful--the only colors I don't like are dusty pinks and blues. I prefer bright and vibrant.

I am glad you found a treadmill you like. I know you said it will save you commute time so that's a bonus for sure.

Dusty pinks and blues remind me of the 80's - they were everywhere. My mom was so into crafts at that time. Our house was covered in dusty pink and blue lace, ribbon, fake flowers and wallpaper... I'm with you on this one, YUCK

heading back home to Wisconsin today. It's been a good trip, and I've really enjoyed visiting my relatives. I wish they lived closer, esp now since they're getting older. They've talked about it, but I'd be shocked if they actually ever left Vermont.

Accountability hasn't been good this week. I've made mostly good choices, but we've eaten out *a lot*, so may calories have been high. Yesterday would have been fine if my aunt hadn't served pie at 10:00 at night. Of course, I could have refused. I had been fantasizing about Greek yogurt beforehand (my usual night time snack), but I knew they didn't have any. So when something sweet came out, it was all over. At least I'm going home today. It much easier to control my calories when I'm home. We don't have dangerous stuff in the house, and also, I'm able to plan out my whole day. That was impossible here...

QOTD: I like blues/greens/turquoises. Cool colors. However, my house is mostly warm tones because we have so much wood (wood floors and unpainted trim). I think that looks better with warmer tones, like beiges, creams, yellows, peaches. So that's what we have. One of our bathrooms and our family room are all neutrals with pops of color here & there (like bright red sofa pillows, for example) which looks pretty cool. I actually like most colors, but I always wear cool ones - and if I have to pick out something that comes in a variety of colors, I'll almost always go for the cool ones.

2 years 5 months out:

B: Greek yogurt with berries and 1 T Kashi Crunch granola

S: coffee with half & half, protein shake

L: may eat a leftover 1/2 shrimp quesadilla before we leave for the airport

D: we'll be at the airport in Charlotte (3-hour layover) then. May just have a protein bar

Good morning!

qotd: I tend towards blues and greens, all shades, but I also love some brick/earthy reds and maroons. I do choose those colors both to wear and decorate with. When decorating, however, I usually do neutrals with those colors as accent walls or furniture. Our living room is a tan, but the bottom of the walls are forest green. Our bathroom is cream, but the shower curtain and rugs are navy blue.

Breakfast: pre-made some breakfast burritos on low-carb tortillas for the freezer. I'll grab one and heat it up at work. Scrambled egg, 1 oz turkey sausage, Monterrey jack cheese, and some home-pickled hot peppers (which turned out really good!)

lunch: work is providing and I'm gambling on having decent options to pick from. I'm taking a protein shake in case there absolutely isn't.

Snack: oh snap! Pickled carrots

dinner: smoked sausage with marinara and zucchini
