Hello Group,

It's been quite some time since I've been here. Doing well, feel good, I'm having a problem gaining a little weight. I'm 7 yrs. out next month. My lowest was 105, before having ulcer surgery, which will be 3 yrs. ago in July, all went well there. Now I'm stuck at 112-114, I'm trying to gain at the most 20-25 lbs. As I knew when I was to heavy, I now that I'm to thin, tired of people telling me I'm to skinny. NEVER, did I ever think I would be saying this, when I was over weight most of my life. I'm 62 yrs. young, 5' 5" I eat a lot of carbs and things I think would help gain weight but it's not happing. Any suggestion, Oh If any one out there had their surgery in Mexico with Dr. Rodriguez, whom is a great surgeon might I add. Are you under weight. Oh god that sounds foreign coming from me!! Thank You any suggestions would greatly appreciated.

Still make sure you are getting your protein , and eat calorie dense foods, which may or may not be carbs. Think nuts, seeds, whole milk greek yogurt, add olive oil and butter when you cook. We can't necessarily handle higher volume so that is why you need calorie dense.

Even Protein shakes made with Peanut butter, etc. Drinking your calories is an easier way to get them down. Maybe you should go for metabolism testing, and then record what you are actually eating. You may not be eating as much as you think.

You are at the low end of normal, but I understand if you aren't happy with how you look/feel.

I'm due for my blood work in March. I had it checked a couple times when I was heavy, figuring that's why I couldn't lose weight. However that could be a possibility. Thank you, never thought of that. I will definitely have the Doc check that out. Your reply has been most helpful.
