Ditto what Meg said about Devil in the White city.

I also loved Loving Frank. The Paris wife is on my to read list.

I loved the Paris Wife, but it made me hate Hemingway.

If you love historical fiction check out Lilac Girls by Martha Hall Kelley. It's sitting as a Top 5 book for me and I read a LOT.

Morning all. I was up way too late last night binge watching Safe on Netflix. It is a really, really good show. I highly recommend it if you are looking for some escapist t.v.

Holding my breath over here for you JB, and that you get the great news you are waiting for.

Today I have lunch with a friend, and then my infusion appointment. I will likely get a burger, sans bun, and 4 (count them, 4) tater tots. I love the tots at this restaurant, but I always ask that they only give me 4. I cannot be trusted with more.

Accountability: Stuck to my plan with the exception of adding a 1/2 cup of grilled veggies to my dinner. Not bad.

QOTD: I Like all genres of books. I just finished an autobiography by Mick Fleetwood and a mob caper fiction book by Anthony Bourdain. My next book is Small Great Things by Jodi Picoult.

3 years, 6 months post op:

B: 2 chicken wings

L: hamburger patty, slice bacon, 1/2 oz blue cheese, 4 tater tots

S: Light & Fit Greek Yogurt

D: 4 oz rib eye

Totals: calories 843, carbs 17, protein 69

Have a great Wednesday!

edited because I don't know how to read.

How was the Mick Fleetwood book? I am thinking of getting it as an audiobook for my treadmill time.

I really enjoyed it. I came to Fleetwood Mac in the 70's, so it was really interesting to me to read about the early history of the band. Plus, Mick comes across as a very likeable guy, and is also honest about his mistakes. I recommend it.

I'd be interested in that as well. My cousin got me into Fleetwood Mac c. 1973 or so. Loved them!

Good afternoon!

I slept better last night with this little contraption hooked up to me, but still not great. One more sleep and I can remove it. I've been taking the stairs at work as much as possible, on top of my commute and gym stuff (going to the gym tonight, can't wait). So hopefully they'll get a good glimpse at my heartrate and that'll be the first hoop jumped through.

Menu: Breakfast was a birthday-cake flavoured protein bar (not bad but NOT CHOCOLATE lol)

MS: 2 littlefinger-sized meat sticks, small apple

L: protein shake and a small baggie of mixed veggies for a little fibre shot

AS: same as MS

S: not much, gonna keep it light pre-gym

QOTD: I tend to drift toward the Lord of the Rings type if I choose to read something other than a bible, but I'm not much on sitting down with a book unless it grabs my attention. Oddly enough, I couldn't care less for cable TV or movies either, which is a little bit weird. I do sudoku and crosswords a lot. If I sit comfortably to read, I'm more likely to close my eyes and I'm gone LOL
